Don’t Show Your Ugly Side!
Hello You.
Let’s face it affiliate links are downright UGLY! Plus, people don’t like to click on them.
So what can you do if you don’t want to spend your hard earned cash on software?
It’s simple enough, watch below…
Here’s the text you need. Copy and paste it into notepad and the same as in the video.

Scott,
Thanks very much. It took me awhile to finally get the straight answer to this simple task. I really enjoy your audios and videos. Very helpful and appreciated. Your accent is a bonus and keeps people interested, as it mirrors your animated personality. Keep up your excellent tutorials. Take care and feel free to visit my blog also.

Hi Scott,
Nice and easy.
You might want to check out these where I’ve taken it a stage further so that you can track traffic. Particularly for Clickbank products.

Hello Scott,

Regards,
Winford
At your blog the review for commision blueprint
How did you cloak that
which I have a copy
affiliate commision link?
Winford
Hey Winford
Good to hear from you.
Yes, upload the file into your public html, as you would any other page.
The software for cloaking the affiliate links is Power Link Generator.
I think it’s about $97 if memory serves. It’s a Mike Filsaime product.
Hope this helps.
Speak soon
Scott
Scott,
Your web site (blog) looks great !! But I’m particularly happy about your entry on free affiliate link cloaking. Great Video !!
One question, when you said you uploaded the php.php to your website, exactly WHERE on the website did you put this file? What directory-subdirectory(s) ?
Thanks and keep up the great work,
Sincerely
Mark
Oops, now that I saw the other “responses” I see that you already answered this question !
Thanks,
Mark

Scott,
I created the file using notepad, used your exact example, saved it, (ALL FILES) scott_test.php
The contents of this are …
Uploaded it to my public_html directory.
When I browsed to http://www.markhimes.com/scott_test.php I keep receiving the following error..
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘:’ in /home/markhime/public_html/scott_test.php on line 2
I tried variations of this code lile replacing the 1st colon (:) with quotes (“) then it didn’t like the quotes
so I put it back to the way you described in your video.
Tried this with Internet Explorer AND Firefox and still get the same error.
What else could I be doing wrong ?
Sincerely
Mark

Hi Scott,
Really like your video and and your enthusiastic tone it makes your video very easy listening.
I do have one request though if I may and I think a few other students may be struggling with the same thing here but would it be possibe to actually see you upload the php file to the server as I am no expert when it comes to HTML and all that and I am confused as to what folder you save the php file to and where you create a folder or a sub folder etc? I noticed you skipped past that part but if possible it would be great to see that live as I am still getting used to all this techy stuff.
Is this possible?
Thanks in advance and best regards.
Your site looks great by the way keep up the excellent work!
